It February 14th already!!!

It's the day when  Al Capone did that horrible massacre.But not everyone aware of that, especially in Indonesia, I guess.

This is also the day when people love to call it as VALENTINE'S DAY.

It's the Day which loved by every single girl in the world who's in love. Either waiting to be treated romantically by her lover or the other way around. You know, like in Japan where every girl is so excited to prepare and  give a chocolate for her crush,lover,or simply just saying thank you to the people she knows.

It is  the day which single people love to HATE. You know, since you'll spend Valentine all alone because who you love doesn't know that you love him/her. The day which people call it as a way capitalism companies use to sell their products,like chocolates, flowers, dolls, candies,etc.

How about me? As a teenager who loves to read shoujo manga, I used to  use this day buying chocolate to my friends since I didn't have the courage to give it to my crush. But now,  I'm no longer that girl.

It's not that I oppose Valentine's day. I mean, wasn't this day made to commemorate St.Valentine who died because  he marry people? A man had died for uniting love. It's a sweet history.   So I get if people want to celebrate the day by sharing love with the people they love as a way to give a respect for what St. Valentine had done.

What I don't like is how people overeact on this particular day with such shallowness.  They acted so lovey dovey all of the sudden or get freaked out planning the romantic date. The also freaked out when they didn't receive  gifts from their lover.Or worse, when single people suddenly become more sensitive than usual and make "I Hate Valentine's Day" party. Just watch "Valentine's Day" for the complete examples.

So instead to celebrate it with cards, flowers,chocolate, or 'anti-valentine' party, let's reboot this Valentine Day. As for me, from now on, I would love to call this day as GENEROSITY DAY.

I agree than we can do so much better than giving a chocolate  or overpriced flower to show how much we love and care about people.

Joan Loves.... Karaoke Party

Ayo siapa yang suka karaoke???

Gue suka banget karaokean. Apalagi kalau bersama temen-temen Super Family gue. Waktu SMA,kita seriiiiing banget karaokean bareng. Bahkan pernah setelah try out selesai, dengan randomnya dan masih berseragam sekolah, kami langsung capcus bareng ke NAV di Kelapa Gading. Sekarang dengan kegilaan Kpop yang tumbuh di hati masing-masing, gue dan yang lain rela jauh-jauh dari Sunter-Kelapa Gading menuju ke Lime light karaoke di bilangan Jakarta Barat supaya bisa nyanyiin lagu-lagu Kpop dan Jpop yang lebih up to date.

Sayangnya karena kesibukan masing-masing, gue enggak bisa sesering dulu karaokean bareng. Boro-boro ke lime light, ke NAV di Gading aja susahnya setengah hidup.

Pernah sih kadang-kadang nekad karaokean sendirian, walaupun berat juga. Satu, berat di ongkos. Biasanya kan tarif dua jam dibagi rata (dasar pelit),sekarang gue mesti bayar sendiri. Dua, kadang suka mendapatkan tatapan aneh dari pegawai..okay lebih tepatnya kasian. You know,the kind of stare that says,'kasian ya mbak ini,enggak punya temen. Karaokean mesti sendiri."

Tapi sekarang, gue mendapatkan solusi untuk karaokean gratis kalau urge untuk karaokean/melabil sedang parah-parahnya.

Thanks kepada temen-temen di timeline twitter yang heboh masalah menjadi penyanyi amateur dan wanna be, gue penasaran dan mulai berselancar di google. Ternyata yang lagi mereka omongin adalah http://www.karaokeparty.com/

Nah, KaraokeParty adalah website yang menyediakan layanan karaokean di komputer masing-masing. Tinggal modal mike yang ditancepin ke komputer, you're ready to play the game.However, jangan tertipu sama embel-embel Fun and Easy Online Karaoke. In fact, this is one of the toughest games I've ever played. Susah banget dapet nilai bagusnya( Happy Puppy aja enggak setega penilaian di sini,haha). Baru setelah percobaan ke sekian,gue berhasil mendapatkan nilai 6000an. 6000an itu pun masih termasuk golongan WANNA BE,posisi kedua dari yang paling jelek.

Gue suka Website ini karena

1) ia  menyajikan esensi dari karaokean: LABIL dan Ekspresif. Xixixi. Gimana enggak? Waktu pertama kali gue mencoba dengan lagunya Adele "Chasing Pavement", gue udah pede-pede nih menyanyi dengan baik dan pake improvisasi segala... EHHHH, malah cuma dapet nilai 3000an dan mendapatkan predikat "Amateur". Yah tahu sih gue kalo gue adalah penyanyi amateur, tapi kalo  dibilangin sama engine, hadeuuuh makin terpuruk eike. *jongkok di pojokan sambil garuk-garuk tanah. Jadilah gue terpacu dan makin nafsu mencoba nyanyi lagu yang lain. Udah enggak mikirin suara gue bagus apa enggak lagi, yang penting tempo sama tinggi-rendah nada gue sesuai menurut si engine. Saking ngebet dan penasaran, gue yang menemukan permainan ini jam 12 malam,baru bisa tidur jam setengah tiga subuh.

2) Hasil nyanyi kita selalu direkam. Di akhir sesi karaoke dan penilaian yang kejam itu, akan selalu ditanyakan mau disimpan enggak hasil kerja keras kita. Kalau mau disimpan, di sini disediakan engine untuk mengedit suara dan musiknya :D

3) Oh iya, selain bisa karaokean sendirian , di sini kita juga bisa battle dengan para karaoke goers from all over the worlds lho. Emang sih,kita enggak bisa mendengar suara penyanyi yang lain. However,kita bisa melihat nilai siapa yang lebih tinggi.
