bagi yang enggak sabar untuk melihat twistnya snow white yang diperankan oleh Kirsten Stewart nanti, mungkin bisa pemanasan dulu dengan another snow white story with a twist called "Once Upon a Time".
Once upon a time adalah serial terbarunya ABC. Plot ceritanya goes like this:
Snow White learns through a prophecy that her child will one day save them all. As the Evil Queen’s curse overtakes the kingdom, Snow White and Prince Charming send their newborn daughter through a magic wardrobe to safety, hoping one day she’ll find her way home.
Years later, we meet Emma, a bail bondsman (“bail bondsperson”) on her 28th birthday. As she blows out a lonely candle, a little boy knocks on her door. Henry says he is the son she gave up for adoption 10 years ago and has come to find her so she can save his hometown, Storybrook. He shows her a fairy tale book and tells her it says she’s supposed to save them.
Naturally, Emma doesn’t believe the fantasy side of his story but agrees to take him back home to Storybrook, a Maine town Jessica Fletcher would be proud of. All the same fairy tale characters live there, but they have new names and new lives, and they have forgotten where they came from. No one ages, the clock in the square never ticks forward, and no one can leave without “bad things happening” except for Henry. Only Henry knows the truth.
MY THOUGHT
At first episode, I didn't quite getwhat's the story and found the relation between 'real world' and 'fairy tale world' kinda confusing. But when I reached 3rd episode, now I really love it. IT WAS AWESOME!!! In third episode I get to see the different side of Snow White,as in the tough and fierce person. Not the dumb princess (coba dong ya,udah dibilangin dwarf ga boleh ngobrol sama orang asing,eh dia bukain pintu buat nenek-nenek mencurigakan yang jualan in the middle of nowhere.Ketipunya enggak cuma sekali lho. DUA KALI hampir mati lho Snow White ini!!! gemes mode on) that Grimm Brother has made.
There are couple things I love about 'Once Upon A Time'
1.They made a good twist for fairy tale story. The most important thing is they made all the princesses (both in fairy tale and reality) not as vulnerable and weak as the original one. For example: Sebelum menikah dengan Pangeran, Snow White memang dalam pelarian biar enggak dibunuh. Untuk bertahan hidup, dia jadi pencuri dari kereta-kereta yang lewat di hutan. That's how she met her Prince Charming. They didn't fall in love at the 1st sight. In fact, Prince Charming itu udah bertunangan sama putri kerajaan tetangga dan kesel karena Snow white mencuri cincin pertunangannya. On the other hand, Snow White kesel karena dia masuk ke perangkapnya Prince Charming. Another example, Cinderella akhirnya malah bertransaksi sama si jahat Rumpelstiltskin supaya dia bisa pergi ke pesta dansa.

Tiap akhir episode berhasil membuat gue gregetan,such as: Snow white di dunia nyata tetep enggak jadian sama Prince Charming (episode 3) atau Evil Queen in reality yang ternyata punya hubungan spesial sama sheriff di kotanya(padahal gue pikir si Sherrif itu sebenarnya baik,ternyata dia... huaaa :()
3. Henry, because he's simply adorable and he never gives up to what he believed.

[/caption]3. The evil queen. I love to hate her. In my opinion, I like her better in reality version. Why? Jahatnya lebih nyebelin,bukan jahat ala ibu tiri, tetapi jahat karena ingin mempertahankan Henry supaya enggak ketemuan lagi sama Emma (sampai Emma dijebloskan ke penjara beberapa kali)

[/caption]5. The last, but not least is the lead character, Emma. She's one bad ass chick. Dia enggak takut menghadapi villain yang ada di seri ini. Salah satu aksi favorit gue adalah saat Emma ngebalas perbuatan licik Regina dengan menebang pohon apel kesayangannya Evil Quin versi reality itu.
