Iya..iya, di postnya sebelumnya gue udah bilang kalo gue males nulis hal-hal yang berhubungan dengan Santa Claus. Eh,pada kenyataannya, hari ini gue ingin berbagi film dengan tema Santa Claus. For that, I have to blame the hot British actor James McAvoy for playing in this movie and of course nungguin nomor antrian bikin e-ktp yang lamaaaa banget. Akhirnya, gue dan Cici pun terdampar nontonin Arthur Christmas

My Thoughts
Awalnya gue ga menaruh ekspetasi terlalu besar sih sama film ini. Pas nonton trailernya gue rada ga ngerti film ini tentang apa. Pokoknya bener-bener tertarik karena ada James McAvoy doang. hahaha
Film ini dimulai dengan cara yang sangat lucu menurut gue. Seorang anak bernama Gwen yang mengirim surat yang isinya seperti ini:
Dear Santa, are you real? If you live at the north pole how come I can't see your house when I look on Google earth? Are you St. Nicholas? 'Cause you'd be incredibly old. How do you have time to read all the letters from all the children in the world? And how many cookies and mint pies have you eaten in all of history? How do you get all the presents in the sack? Does your sack have to get bigger every year cause of exponential population growth?
Like literally,I was laughing out loud hearing that naration. Those were exact questions asked sceptical people and I. haha
It's just the beginning. Aardman Animation answers it with a simple yet complicated answer. Of course it can happen with High Tech tecnology these days. Sleigh and reindeers are so old fashion. Now, they're using a HUMONGOUS Aircraft that almost looks like a UFO, complete with the sky camouflage technology, GPS, modern computer,and many more
Elfs not only participate in the making of presents anymore. Thousands of them also got involved in delivering presents. I can say they are the main answer how come Santa can deliver billions of presents to each house so quickly. They're no ordinary elf. They're Christmas Elf with spy ability. Well,they need spy ability with such an 'Mission Impossible' like this,eh?(*kriik kriik kriik)
And of course there's the adorable Arthur. Arthur is the typical underdog main character in animation like this. He's clumsy. It's not too exaggerating if we call him as Accident Prone. However, he's also a happy person and excited about Christmas very much. It's hard not love him,especially when James McAvoy is the voice behind Arthur. kyaa
Arthur has no intention nor dream to be the next Santa. Arthur's fully aware that the one who deserves to be the next Santa is his smart brother, Steve. And he supports Steve,too. All that he wants in Christmas is for every single kid receives what they wish for from Santa and that would be a perfect Christmas. Arthur is so care about each and every child,he's man up and go to the kid's home and delivers the present himself. Isn't he sweet? XD
Next is the cool Byrony, the gift wrapper elf who helps Arthur and Grand Santa on this mission. I like her accent. Also it's so cool to see that there's a female figure who has important role in the movie. Yeah, darling, show the boys out girl power!! XD
The music is great, too. Well, komposernya Harry Gregson-Williams sih (yang juga membuat musical scorenya Narnia). Jelas bakalan bagus :D
I definitely recommend it as movie to watch with your family in Christmas time.
The first reason because this movie is so hilarious. My big sis isn't the easiest person to laugh in any movie because she always analyze everything. But she laughed with me almost in every funny scenes in this scene. My favourite funny scenes would be : (1) The modern delivering system done by thousands of elf; (2) Arthur sings lulaby to the lions in 'Africa with Silent Night'; (3)Letter from Gwen; (4) Arthur try to catch the Sleigh.
The second and main reason because it's a good movie for kids. It's heartwarming, fun,smart,not boring at all,and filled with message for kids. The main message from this movie still talking about believing in yourself. Because if you believe,big things can happen. And hey, who knows? Maybe you can save Christmas or make at least 1 person happy in Christmas Day. Beside, no one gets left behind in Christmas,right?
