 No strong musical backing for 'Singham'

Nationally acclaimed music directors Ajay-Atul are known for their music in Marathi films, although they have some music for Bollywood films in the past. But "Singham" the musical duo failed the many elements that the album has only three originals and it's not a musical movie to explore.

The album, Sukhwinder Singh with Kickstarts to sing the title song "Singham" mantra chants begin. The track is more a song that will be used in the background than anything that can be hummed. The moderate pace, and introduces the character - an average start to the album.

Then a love ballad, "Saathiya", which Shreya Ghoshal behind the microphone with a chorus by the composer himself Ajay. A sweet simple melody, the song grows on the listener.

Next is a track with little Sufi influences - "Maula Maula". It is romantic and is sung by Kunal Ganjawala and Richa Sharma, who fully complement each other. Though the composition is not very experimental, yet it manages to generate interest and are quite sympathetic.
