The Body Shop fragrances

I'm not the expert of perfume scents. However, I think I'm addicted to Fragrances from The Body Shop  in these past few years. Mainly because it's affordable and it has a rare scent. Yah enggak pasaran gitu deh.

Out all of the scents The Body Shop had/still producing, I have 10 favourite scents.  I didn't write these based on how much I love one scent than the other.I love them all.

1. Aqua Lily
Aqua Lily was introduced in 2008 as a bright, shining floral aquatic fragrance. Long and elegant blue bottle represents its feminine accords. The fragrance includes green apple notes, watermelon, bamboo, mandarin and pink pepper at the top. Floral bouquet of rose, lily, lily-of-the-valley, violet and mignonette welcomes us at the heart. The base is comfortable due to aromas of musk and cedar.

This the first ever perfume I'd ever brought. So it has to be on the very top of this list!! Haha
 I was introduced by my sister. I love how it has soft yet refreshing scent. What made it more lovable because it's long lasting. Too bad, I think it's really hard to find Aqua Lily perfume in Jakarta  nowadays. They always produce it in body mist or body gel .

2. White Musk Libertine
White Musk Libertine by The Body Shop is a new fragrance with a vegetable musk note in the top, heart and the base note. The composition also includes Turkish delight (rose, almond, honey) and whipped cream. White Musk Libertine was launched in 2011.

This is one of my current perfumes I have. Usually, I'm not a fan of musky scent because I felt it's too manly. However this one is different. When I first spray it, it has very nice mild and light scents. As it's dry on my skin, the smell  of that creamy turkish delight gets bolder, but not too overwhelming. I think I can describe this scent as silky, sexy,but not bitchy. So, this is definitely a keeper for me :)


3. Love ETC
Love etc by The Body Shop presents love as universal strength. This seductive, hot and exciting perfume is composed of neroli, pear and bergamot in top notes. A heart introduces jasmine, heliotrope and lily of the valley, while a base encompasses vanilla, sandalwood and creamy musk. The fragrance is available as 30 and 50ml edp, as well as fragrant bath and body care lotion. Love ETC was launched in 2009.

My sis bought it . Just like its name, I love this scents. It just makes me happy and smiling when I use this fragrance. This perfume is all about sweet and lovely floral scents.
I kinda agree with  statement above about its seductive scents. My guy friend love this scents on me. He  even asked me what perfumed I used because he wants to give it to his girlfriend.

4. White Gardenia
White Gardenia was introduced by The Body Shop in 2009, accompanied with 100 ml perfumed body spray. The fragrance is delicate and soft, composed of lotus, gardenia, bergamot and gentle musk. Available as 50ml edt.
 Again, this one was bought by my big sis. What I remember about this perfume was all about the gentleness. It's not too strong or complicated. Just a simple soft scents of flowers. I think it a seasonal scent that's not been produced anymore.

5.  Cassis Rose

Cassis Rose is a fruity-floral fragrance for women introduced in 2006. Top notes fondle with passionate and sweet waves of raspberry and black currant. A heart encompasses rose, freesia and violet, while base notes introduce musk, sandalwood and cedar. The perfume is available as 30ml edt, with an accompanying body care collection.

I really like this scent because it gives me that happy vibe. This is very rosy and yet not to strong in the nose. However, not too long lasting. I wore it for my everyday scents. This one is also no longer can be found anymore in Jakarta.


7. Lychee Blossom
Lychee Blossom is a limited edition for 2010. Energetic and refreshing, this fragrance is composed of litchi, guava, mangosteen, magnolia, litchi blossom, freesia, sandalwood and white musk.
Another perfume that's in my bag. This is a very simple scents and yet I Love it. It's straight-forward, crisp, sweet, and fresh scent.Very light on the skin. It's long lasting.Also gives a happy and young feeling when I use it.
 It's definitely  great for a young adult.

8.Rougueberry
Rougeberry by The Body Shop is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women. Rougeberry was launched in 2006. Top notes are mandarin orange, raspberry and apple; middle notes are violet, peach, heliotrope and rose; base notes are sandalwood, almond, amber, musk, vanilla and cedar.

GOSH. I super duper love this scents,too. This is juicy, sweet, but yet a very soft scents when it touches my skin. Seductively good and very mature. Totally long-lasting for me. This is a seasonal scent that has to be produced again! I want this back!! hahaha

9.Oceanus
Oceanus by The Body Shop is a Aromatic Aquatic fragrance for women and men. Top note is water lily; middle notes are violet, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, rose and geranium; base notes are sandalwood and musk.

Arrgh, another scents that never been brought back! What I Love about this scent was because it gave me the same feeling like CK One. Not too strong, but yet kinda seductive. It's refreshing, totally made me think about the ocean. 

10. Midnight Bakula
Midnight Bakula by The Body Shop is a Chypre Floral fragrance for women. This is a new fragrance, Midnight Bakula was launched in 2011. The fragrance features patchouli, rose and nectarine.

The  newest scents by The Body Shop. I managed to persuade Big Sis to buy this one when it's on sale (Lumayan lho dari 200an jasi Rp149000 untul 50 ml). At first spray, I found this scent so sweet and rosy like Cassis Rose.  As it gets dry, it leaves a strong spicy yet seductive in earthy kinda way. Definitely long lasting. Very mature,sexy and such an exotic scent. Don't spray it too much, though ;)
